By accessing or using Troubadour (“the Service”), operated by VBP LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
Troubadour is a language-learning platform that provides educational content through stories, audio narration, inline translations, and grammar notes. The Service is available as a web application and Progressive Web App (PWA) for personal, non-commercial use.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Accounts are for individual use only and may not be shared with or transferred to other persons.
The Service offers both a free tier and a paid Premium Plan:
We reserve the right to modify the features included in each plan at any time. Changes to plan features will not affect the current billing period of existing subscribers.
Premium Plan subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual billing cycle. Payment is processed by our merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), which acts as the seller for all paid transactions. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's terms of service.
All sales are final. No refunds are available at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to dissatisfaction with the Service, accidental purchase, unused subscription time, partial billing periods, or change of mind. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.
If you believe a charge was made in error or without your authorization, please contact us at support@troubadourapp.com within 14 days of the charge. We will investigate the matter but are under no obligation to issue a refund.

All content on the Service, including but not limited to text, translations, audio narrations, images, and software, is the property of VBP LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Some literary content is adapted from public domain works; however, our adaptations, translations, audio recordings, and accompanying educational materials are original works owned by VBP LLC.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on the Service without our prior written consent.
The Service integrates with third-party providers to deliver its functionality, including payment processing (Paddle), database hosting, and audio generation services. Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and policies of these third-party providers where applicable. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party services.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VBP LLC and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VBP LLC, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Service or sending an email to your registered address. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to violation of these Terms, abusive behavior, or failure to pay subscription fees. Upon termination:

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VBP LLC regarding the use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
